The Year of The Dragon

Long ago in ancient China, the Jade Emperor decided to host a race for the animals to assign names to each of the 12 zodiac years.
It was decided that the years on the calendar would be named according to the order in which the animals arrived.
Many would have placed their bets on the dragon as the likely victor.
However, to everyone’s surprise, the dragon finished only fifth in the race.
As it turned out, the dragon had been diverted from the race by a village suffering from drought.
Prioritizing the welfare of the village, the dragon provided rain to save its inhabitants before resuming the race.
This is a great lesson for all of us.
Winning isn’t everything in life. Making a positive difference in the lives of others holds greater significance.
Happy Lunar New Year to everyone celebrating this joyous occasion.
