Poetry for Humanity

The Wrecked State of the World

Waging love’s gentle war against the injustices of our time

It’s alright to rage at the state of our world.

To listen, weep, walk, and work alongside

The courageous ones

Who’ve long been

Exploited,

Silenced,

Oppressed.

To stand together against

The violent,

The heartless,

Who rage with cowardice.

To arise together

To reshape and rebuild

Our broken world.

To restore faith, hope and love of God,

And our shared humanity.
