The Worst Hostel with the Best Host

I won’t be too negative about this hostel because the host is amazing! All of the reviews mention him and now I know why it has a good rating.

I have a private room. It’s a very small place with one dorm as well as my room. The other guests are very friendly and speak English. A couple of Americans, a German couple, one Spanish guy and one Italian.

They were all sitting around the kitchen table when I arrived – starving. There was a supermarket not too far away but I worried I’d get lost in the dark so my host said he’d walk with me! He helped me find what I wanted and carried the basket for me.

I loaded everything into my new Thai bag and he carried it back to the hostel for me. I cooked myself French toast with melted cheese.

One of the guys had wine and offered to share a glass with me. See what I mean about friendly?

So what’s the first thing I did getting out of bed this morning? I broke the bed! I texted my host who came around to repair it.

I’m not going to list the negatives of this hostel because the host makes up for any lack of facilities. If you’ve ever stayed in a cheap hostel, I’m sure you can use your imagination.
