The World Post-Coronavirus
What will the world look like after all this is finished?
Will we hustle in order to bring the “old way” back, or will we find new ways o building a more stable economy and society? Will the self-fulfilling prophecy come true and we will establish an Orwellian control system based on fear and of repulsion because of our genes inability to adapt to nature as fast as the money flow?
What will exactly happen depends a lot on our choices and as we have might already noticed, it depends a lot on the 2020 November American elections.
Whether Trump or Biden will win it’s up to our biases and for sure the conflict between Democrats and Republicans will continue even after the elections. That is if Trump doesn’t succeed in bringing peace into this area as well as that with the Israel. He has had quite some accomplishments although he has attracted also a lot of haters. His executive list is big.
However, this isn’t about politics. This is about our future. How can we truly shift from imposing more and more laws and measures and sometimes quite harsh and abstract, instead of perfecting our means and cooperating with this planet? As far as things go we can expect some things in the next few years:
- Some people will have access to the COVID vaccine while some will be underprivileged. Some will be obligated to have it while not wanting it, while others will crave it and will not be able to access it.That is because the non-uniform distribution of goods(from which the vaccine is a good) in society.
- The death tolls will go on unless we perfect our means to test and report accurately what is happening day by day. In what containing the virus is concerned, I think we have the wrong mindset. This is more about becoming healthier and healthier, rather than fighting an invisible enemy. This is more about our bodies than it is about something external.
- Some part of the population will continue to shift towards self-sustainability and will migrate towards the countryside unless the cities will become safe again. Safety measures can include also a means to become more ecological(like urban permaculture which will start to make itself known) as well as less cars, and that is not to add more electrical cars before 2030. There are a lot of protocols in place so that fossils get supplemented by electric renewable energy. There are a lot of green cities like Rekyjavik, Malmo(Sweeden), Sydney, Copenhagen which will be an example for further such developments. Green Eco living will not be a luxury anymore but an obligation.
- Money will become more and more undervalued and Gold, Silver and Bitcoins will be the higher commodity. Possibly other crystals and gems too.
- Tourism will become less accessible to everyone unless we fix our safety measures for instance self-quarantine can be as simple as being in the company of immune people which can offer immunity to you as well as herd immunity can be an option if we make our transporations more safe, larger and faster (high speed trains with lots of space which can provide social distancing opportunities).
- Protests might arise and people might decide to live off grid in communities, while others could choose to live in the decided upon society where mandatory vaccines and app-tracking will be a given. Society could become split. Hopefully the people in power will gain a bit of perspective on what this could mean globally and decide to find a middle ground between society extremists and temperate capitalists.
- Investments will decay unless taxation becomes less important and cooperation between the middle class and the rich class becomes more transparent.
- By 2030 we might exit this crisis with our lesson learnt and manage to build a new culture around health, prosperity and growth while using technology to our advantage, that is if peace treaties go well and we don’t enter into any wars anymore.
- We might develop a space tourism by 2040 where viruses will become something obsolete because we will have found the means necessary to keep them at bay by simply wearing nanomaterials devices(that is wishful thinking until now, but we nanomaterials advancements, we might develop firstly the space technology which later on will become available to us as well on a larger scale).
- 2050, first space elevator, space tourism becomes accessible to everyone, coronaviruses are already history.
- Some people will be self-sufficient while other people will be inclined to depend more and more on technology.

For what employment is concerned, basing our jobs creation on something as volatile as coronavirus is quite unsteady and not a sustainable choice.(for instance becoming a tracking agent)
We must continue to innovate as well as protect and invest. Both the private sector and the public sector must cooperate and seek advantages for both rather than steal each others’ solutions and “patent” them as their own.
I guess this summer is still uncertain and for sure the November elections will have their word not only for America but also for the other countries and continents concerned and for the European Union, because given our situations, any nations’ decisions and individuals’ decisions can become global.
In order to not ruin everything think about a single thing: any individual choice and action can become global, so your actions matter, no matter how small.
