The World of Equals

A world where women

Have responsibilities But not a burden of countless expectations

Are given challenges But not by suppressing their freedom

Are perceived like their fellow beings- called men Different yet equals in every realm

A world where women after getting married; as daughter-in-laws suddenly are not considered to be Goddesses with super powers Where expectations and rights Stay sane like it is for the son- in- laws

A world where women don't have to fight to be aptly heard Where their contributions and presence are acknowledged and rewarded Like in any logical stance

A world where women are not treated differently are respected equally Where their space is not breached Their freedom to choose Their freedom to deny All are taken in the humanly strides

A world where their 'No' and 'Yes' are taken as seriously As sincerely, As discerned for the fellow men Why same words should convey different meanings, when uttered by a man vis-a-vis when uttered by a woman When such tactics clearly do not make any damn sense

The world shall become balanced and fair Only when it is not taken for granted that she will always understand When it is not assumed That she will smilingly, accept Or put up with any nonsense
