The Woman Who Might Finally Take Down Trump
Meet Fani Willis

To finally take down Donald Trump, any prosecutor or politician must fight fire with fire. Fani Willis, the current district attorney for Fulton County in Georgia, has that fire in abundance. Robert Mueller lacked it, and the soft-spoken Merrick Garland will never have it.
A boy scout will not take down Donald Trump.
He doesn’t play by standard norms, let alone the rules of the game. Mueller refusing to indict Trump because his office couldn’t reach a decision on obstruction is the perfect example of an overly-cautious prosecutor unwilling to upset tradition for the sake of justice. On the contrary, Trump bulldozed every tradition he didn’t like.
Fani Willis can play this game. Simply ask the teachers who falsified test results to make their schools look better for funding purposes. Ask the Drug Rich gang she’s taken down. Ask the countless criminals she’s tried on murder charges.
It’s not like other prosecutors have lacked evidence of Trump’s crimes. They’ve simply failed to indict or secure guilty verdicts. From Mueller to the Manhattan District Attorney, nobody has been able to pin this guy on anything. Sorry, Manhattan DA, Trump’s accountant and company are not the man himself.
Trump is like the mafia legend, John “Teflon Don” Gotti. Nothing ever sticks. Until it does.
Fani Willis may succeed where others failed not only because she has the goods on Trump, but most importantly, because she has the perfect aggressive approach to counter Trump’s bullying style. Willis also has an exemplary track record as a prosecutor. She’s not subject to the federal bureaucratic approach of the DOJ. And perhaps most importantly, she would be trying any criminal case against Trump in the liberal district of Fulton County, which includes most of Atlanta.
Let’s explore why these elements make it likely Fani Willis will succeed where others have failed against Trump.
Fani Willis is, frankly, a great prosecutor
I say that because she has demonstrated that she will indict anyone who abuses power or breaks the law. No matter their race, profession, or uniform. Over her 19-year career as a prosecutor, she has led more than 100 jury trials and has handled hundreds of murder cases.
Her office’s conviction rate is around 90%.
She has taken down everything from gangs to teachers conspiring to fix test scores. Willis respects law enforcement — she’s certainly not part of the “defund” crowd — but she also holds them accountable. She has shown that it’s possible to respect due process and civil rights while being tough on crime. Yes, people like that still exist.
She has the goods on Trump in Fulton County
Before we talk about those goods, let’s first remember the venue. Criminal court in Fulton County. Unlike federal prosecutors who have to jump through numerous hoops and approvals prior to bringing charges against prominent people, Fani Willis largely operates her own fiefdom. She is not appointed or beholden to anyone, except to the voters who elected her.
Fulton County is very liberal. The voter registration campaign and turnout was crucial in swinging the state in favor of Biden in 2020. These are the people who would decide Trump’s criminal fate. Odds are not in his favor before a liberal-leaning jury, especially given the evidence.
Fani Willis has the goods on Donald Trump. Although we don’t know the extent of them yet, we arguably already have a smoking gun.
Trump’s phone call to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger in January 2021 could be sufficient — in and of itself — for a prosecutor to bring charges. Most states — including Georgia — have laws against the solicitation to commit election fraud.
Trump asked Raffensberger “to find” a specific number of votes. In fact, just one more than Biden’s total. That number and the specific language used by Trump on the recorded phone call should be sufficient alone to bring that charge.
Although the case could and probably should be bigger. If Willis approaches the Trump case like she has gangs and conspiracies of teachers, she could argue that Trump was part of and/or leading a broader conspiracy to overturn Georgia’s election results. This could include charges related to Georgia’s own version of RICO. These types of charges carry far more weight and may be harder to prove, but don’t underestimate Fani Willis.
Fani Willis is no stranger to prosecuting widespread conspiracies
Willis has brought multi-defendant racketeering cases on multiple occasions, most notably against Drug Rich and other street gangs. Also as previously mentioned, not even public school teachers evaded accountability when they tried fudging test results to make their students look better.
So Willis has taken on scarier and more sympathetic defendants than Trump and his cronies. She is no stranger to building cases against complex and widespread conspiracies, even when facing political heat and public backlash, as she did when she prosecuted teachers (most of whom were black and from poor neighborhoods).
Regardless of the defendant, her approach to building a case has proved relentless. She has refused to back down when her sense of justice has been compromised. And she will use anything at her disposal to see justice served. That includes rap lyrics.
People are concerned for Fani Willis’s safety
As she builds her case against Trump, more and more people are concerned for Willis’s safety. I was shocked at how many comments to this TikTok video I made were focused on her protection.
Surely she has taken on more violent and dangerous people than Donald Trump and his MAGA tribe?
Although if she is successful with not only indicting but prosecuting Donald Trump she will immediately become enemy number one. So I can understand everyones’ fears.
The best type of justice for Donald Trump
There is a special, unique flavor to any justice delivered by Fani Willis against Donald Trump. The same person who claimed there were also good people in the crowd at Charlottesville could be taken down by a black woman.
It would be the cherry on top of a Fani Willis prosecution of Donald Trump. And it would be sweet for everyone except for Trump and his MAGA tribe. As in the takedown of Al Capone, sometimes justice comes from unexpected places.
