Deepak Chopra, author and leader in holistic health and human potential, published The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success in 1994. The less than hour read is filled with soul-stirring, thought-provoking wisdom written in plain English with how-to’s in each chapter.

I’ve read it half a dozen times in the past few months, and I absorb more of his loving and inspirational message each time.

Here’s a summary of each chapter’s critical points.

1. “The Law of Pure Potentiality.”

“Pure potentiality is pure consciousness; it is the field of all possibilities and infinite creativity.”

We are part of a universal field of energy. There is no separation between our true self and this intelligent energy. Yet, when we identify with our ego, we lose touch with our essence and open the door to doubt and fear. Therefore, it is essential to know who we are to live a life in harmony with the universe.

Deepak says, “When we are in harmony with nature, we create a bond between our own desires and the power to make these desires materialize.”

He suggests three practices to experience “The Law of Pure Potentiality.”

  • Practice meditation — connect with your higher self.
  • Practice non-judgment — judging others creates unnecessary turbulence. Reduce the turbulence so that you can experience more connection to pure consciousness.
