The White House Does Not Like a Female President
Is It White House or the Voters — The Clear Stand of Gender Inequality

Home to 80% of the world population thinks or feels Men are in a better position or rather Men are qualified for superior political leaders
That’s a clear statement on gender inequality, Don’t you think?
It is not hard to believe the population resides in the world’s most powerful nation thinks that, when it comes to electability, it is meant for old, white, straight male. Well, Barack Obama was an exception there.
I Could say I am Surprised, Truly? Then I am not, to your surprise, when another survey shows that 1/3rd of the population thinks abuse is alright and it is ok.
Unprecedently there is a gender norm, an unbreakable perception of gender roles. Is it hypothetical?
A Leader Vs Women
The traits and behavior a leader should carry Vs a woman should carry. A list of predetermined expectations should have and shouldn’t have. People are caught in the race of a gender assessment rather than evaluating true leader traits.
It is widely believed that The time and The effort spend by woman candidates are double and larger than a male candidate. People automatically support or draw their attention to a male candidate. So a Woman deals with is a double bind. The outcome is, a woman does not stand a chance when they are too soft or when they are too tough, either way, she is doomed.
Studies show that woman has to prove their abilities in a way men do not, their competency will be questioned. But the population do not think that woman should get a chance to prove it which they don’t, Not Fair isn’t?
Not even A Female Vice President
I looked into it, I couldn’t find one. Is that another surprising factor? I should say, it is not. Look Around, UN listed least developed country, Myanmar had or has a powerful leader Aung San Suu Kyi, why not the White House then?
Look Again, Voting population like Story Tellers, and the majority thinks men do better than a woman. Children would disagree with that for sure. Salespeople are good storytellers too. Their job is to convince the audience that they are providing magical services.
Then Is the population voting for Salesperson then? Who would eventually make a profit out of the services they are providing?
Both The White House and the voters, they have not seen, heard, or experienced a Female President or Vice President even. They are dismayed from the campaigns occurring around. The defeat they are experiencing is also a failure of imagination.
Barriers
What holds the voters to put a female face on the “show”? I would call it a “Show” due to the influential powers magnifies across the world. Every individual are waiting for their eyes and ears opened to hear from The White House podcast, What’s Next? it’s quite happening, isn’t it?
It is not the lack of qualified women, numerous woman is working in the senate and representing The White House. Are the voters willing to vote for a woman? Elizabeth Warren Challenged this also;
Voters are doubtful all the time whether should they vote for a woman, women continue to encounter more negative perceptions. They are well aware of this and they do spend a significant amount of time implementing strategies to offset potential gender stereotypes.
Do you see the problem when the public opinion says, we will vote for one, after having a female president? It’s a chicken and egg situation.
The observations have to change and the expectations too. People having this mindset of a particular stereotype, that is where the barrier should break.
One thing is sure that, Change is happening and it was proved during the 2016 Election. The presence and the action of the female candidates have sparked conversations among the public.
