The Way of the Superior Solopreneur
The use of power and influence can be justifiably employed as a means to achieve one’s goals and fulfill their purpose in life.
The Way of the Superior Man is a book about men's spiritual journey through life, business, and relationships.
Much is to be gained in understanding the dynamics of interpersonal relationships and how they can best fit for better outcomes.
Among the many lessons, one stands out that will help you better align your path, stay focused among all the complications, and ultimately help you build meaningful relationships for your loved ones and those within your immediate circle.
Let me explain the principle of the lesson, then I’ll share the big picture application of the lesson with which you can apply.
People are attracted to power
Doesn’t matter if it is real or perceived power. Power gives people a sense of security and direction if they trust the source of where this power is coming from.
I am not talking about this in the sense that people are trained lap dogs waiting for their next treat. Power, in the sense that the person who is leading the path is taking everyone who decides to follow in the right direction.
For example, Elon Musk has built himself as one of the richest men in the world. On paper at least. Do a little digging and you find that he is cash-poor, the majority of his wealth is in the stocks of the companies he owns.
The ultra-rich have to do this because if they didn’t then their riches would vanish by the millions sitting in a bank(Lesson in that).
We can all thank inflation for that.
Anyway, he did this by focusing on his mission. I haven’t finished his book named after him yet but his discipline for what he wanted can’t be ignored.
According to his book Elon taught himself Rocket Science by reading books, guides, and reports. With this knowledge, financial resources, and power to make a change it's no surprise that people have become attracted to being a part of his community.
Has he suffered loss because of this dedication as well? Yes, he has. There are interviews out there where he cries because of how much he works and the relationships that it has cost him.
Everything has a cost in the end.
The lesson when on your mission
The lesson here is that I learned it's OK to be about your mission.
I struggled so much over the years because my fire for self-improvement, business growth, and financial freedom burned strongly.
You reading this may have those same internal fires that roar every day in your belly.
People close to you may not understand why your fire burns so hot for freedom, or why you are always talking about your next business plan. Just know, it's OK to be different in that regard.
That is just what your energy desires for itself, and nothing is wrong with walking a path toward where your energy pulls.
Most just will not understand.
I’ve had friends who complained because I didn’t hang out.
I would instead go to real estate meetings.
When they wanted to spend money frivolously.
I didn’t because I was saving for a down payment on a duplex.
Now years later as the housing market soured and they’re still renting, they’re frustrated because their situation has worsened.
This isn’t to poke fun at their economic situation, just shedding a light on different journeys. They had their choice and I made mine.
So nothing wrong if you want to stay in to create that content you told yourself you would, or if you decided to study that course to help you with marketing.
Staying on the path of your mission can grant you the ability to build an audience online, monetize that audience in multiple different ways and allow you to use your influence to help even more people.
Create the vision and stay the course.
Clarity doesn’t have to be so agonizing.
