The Warmth of the Saffron Sun
Nature heals, new life only just begun

Down upon butter-soft sand, clear sky but thoughts clouded grey,
Time anxious alone they turn black,
You wanted to leave, but he forced you to stay,
You made it out, will never go back,
It follows, for now, that cloud,
But behind and ahead, saffron sun will shine,
Keep your head up, my darling, be proud,
Whisper to salt air “My life is mine,”
Carry your memories away on the waves teal,
Breath in new promises in those swathes mint,
Take time to wonder how freedom might feel,
Look forward, shine hope, your eye, a glint,
Bathe in ombre watercolors of sunset,
New life is calling, you haven’t seen anything, not yet.
