The War of Troy
The cost of love and betrayal

“I do not care whether I live or die, since my anger and pride have brought the death of my dearest friend. My only hope is revenge.” — Achilles
The ten year war now over, the journey begins,
Home and hearth await, their weary souls rejoice,
Lost brothers, lost friends, their souls depart,
Hades welcomes them all, fallen heroes to his halls,
The great Troy burns, ashes now, what was once magnificent,
Love and betrayal brought great ruin, so much loss, what was it worth?
Dust and ashes they left behind, heavy hearts full of sorrow,
Great men were lost, Achilles, Hector and countless others,
Menelaus and Helen, now return to Sparta, nothing but misery remained,
The heroes bid farewell, their tale comes to an end and yet, another tale begins.
