The Mysterious Virgin Mary Of Subang Jaya Malaysia

-

Before I left Manila for a short business trip to Singapore and Malaysia, I prayed to Mama Mary that I would visit her in a church in Malaysia if she allows the trip to push through.

Soon after, everything fell into place. I was able to get myself a cheap ticket from Malaysia Airlines even if the trip was due in two weeks. It was an answered prayer.

A day before my flight, I googled if there are reported Marian apparitions in Malaysia and I found myself drawn to a particular report of a church in Subang Jaya. I knew then, that I need to visit the Church of St. Thomas More in Malaysia.

In that report by P. DIVAKARAN for The Star, dated October 2015:

Virgin Mary ‘miracle’ draws Catholics to Subang Jaya church

PETALING JAYA: Catholics are gathering at a church in Subang Jaya to witness claims that a statue of Virgin Mary is growing taller, smiling, and at times, shedding tears.

Parishioners turned up at the Church of St Thomas More were awed by the phenomenon that has become the talk of the community…

I was only staying in Kuala Lumpur for two days, and my visit to the Church of St. Thomas More had to be on the first day, as I don’t want to miss my flight the next day, in the event I get lost.

I wasn’t sure how far the church was from where I was staying. As I was exploring the area, I soon found myself at the MRT station of Pasar Seni and saw that the MRT stops at Subang Jaya where the Church of St. Thomas More is located.

As I got off the Subang Jaya station, it was raining and without an umbrella, it would be difficult to walk around and try to find the church. Luckily, I had mobile internet and was able to use the Grab app, thinking that with a local driver I had a better chance of finding the church before it gets dark.

The Grab driver was very helpful and dropped me at the Church of St. Thomas More which is located near the Proton office. The Grab ride took about 30 minutes from the MRT station to the church.

It was almost 7 in the evening, and I was thinking the church could be close or not even open to the public.

I found the main gate locked, I knocked and the caretaker, a Pakistani man gladly came out to welcome me.

He led me inside the church, which was already closed. I stayed a few minutes and went back to the outpost to ask about the grotto of the Virgin Mary. He again led me to where she was.

I took my rosary out and prayed. I also filled my water bottle with the holy water from the faucet.

Although it was already dark, I took some photos of the Virgin Mary with both my camera and my smartphone. I went back to the caretaker to say goodbye and soon after, my Grab driver arrived to take me back to the MRT station.

It wasn’t until today, almost two weeks after the trip that I had a look at the photos that I took at the Church of St. Thomas More.

At first, I thought it could be the angle but there were other photos from both my camera and smartphone that seem to indicate that Mama Mary’s head “moved.”

from Google:

As I googled for answers, if this had happened before. I found out from the video and some of the images on Google that indeed that the statue of Mama Mary in some instances have moved in different directions.

As to what it means, I leave it here for you to decide for yourself. But all I can say is that my personal experience at the Church of St. Thomas More is enough for me to continue my devotion to Mama Mary.
