The View at The Palm Jumeirah: A Must-See Destination in Dubai

My family and I recently went on a vacation to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
On our first trip here, my family and I had an extensive list of attractions we wanted to visit. However, the scorching September heat made engaging in any outdoor activities challenging, prompting us to consider other options.
Despite not being on our initial must-see list, we decided to seek respite from the heat by visiting the observation deck at the Palm Jumeirah.
The Palm Jumeirah
- The Palm Jumeirah is an artificial archipelago created by land reclamation techniques in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- It is one of the world’s largest man-made islands, shaped like a palm tree.
- It has luxury resorts, residential areas, and a wide range of dining and shopping options.
- The island also has a monorail for transportation and offers views of the Arabian Gulf and the Dubai coastline.
- The Palm Jumeirah is a well-known tourist destination for its beaches, water sports, and luxury amenities.
Our Visit
The observation deck is located on the 52nd floor of Palm Tower in Nakheel Mall, and to get there, visitors must access the building via the mall’s rooftop and follow the elevator signs.
The deck is situated 787 feet above the Palm Island, and tickets can be purchased upon arrival at the entrance.
Once inside, visitors will go through turnstiles and watch a video introducing them to the Palm.
Next, they will proceed to a room where they will see a timeline presentation and receive a detailed explanation of the project’s conceptualization, changes, and implementation.
Various exhibits showcasing different stages of the project’s development will also provide fascinating information.
Finally, visitors will ascend to the outdoor observation deck, which offers a complete 360-degree view of the area.
They can stand on glass steps for an even better vantage point and take photos of the unique architectural marvel.
The photos I clicked capture some stunning scenery, but don’t truly convey the full beauty of the place. To fully appreciate it, you need to experience it in person.

Closing Thoughts
The View at the Palm offers an exceptional opportunity to witness a remarkable achievement of engineering and innovation.
The panoramic views from the deck are simply stunning and provide an ideal setting for photography enthusiasts. Compared to the Burj Khalifa viewing deck, I believe this one offers a superior experience.
Despite being just 52 floors high, it offers a genuine appreciation of the stunning landscape below.
In addition to the Palm Jumeirah, visitors can also admire the Marina district, the Bluewaters area, the Burj Al-Arab, the Dubai skyline, and the Arabian Gulf.
When planning a trip to Dubai, be sure to include a visit to The View at the Palm in your itinerary. Expect to spend approximately one hour enjoying this exceptional location.
