The Value of a Friend

Friends value us for who we are and not we do for them

Friendship is a precious thing.

Times of fear and change make us appreciate our friends even more.

During normal times, we can get very busy. We can begin to value things and outcomes. We can start to become human doings instead of human beings.

Friends are those who just want to be with us — no matter how much we achieve or what we can do for them.

Friends just like us for who we are.

They are there for us when the chips are down.

The value of friends and friendship increases during a crisis.

Lesson to Learn

Friends are one of the most valuable things a person can have.

Friends give life meaning and joy.

They help us when we are in trouble or need. They cheer us up.

They help us remember who we are and why we need to carry on.

One of the good things that comes out of a crisis is just how much it reminds us that friends are worth more than gold.

Answer for Me

I have seen the value of real friends and loving family.

They have reached out to me and stayed in touch.

They help me downshift and have reminded me to take time to laugh and play.

Friends keep me stable and sane.

I have needed to do the the same for them as they have felt hurt or scared.

When they are frazzled, I can be there for them.

Action

Check in on friends and family.

Listen to them. Offer concern, prayers, and support.

Friends and family are the most meaningful and most valuable part of life.

We need to treat them as such.

Daily Habit

Make a list of friends and family who need help and support.

Regularly check in on them.

Reach out to them and spend time with them.

Demonstrate daily that your friends deserve your time and attention.
