The US Culture War Has Officially Arrived In The UK

“A man is a man and a woman is a woman”

Rishi Sunak Speaks at the Conservative Party Conference

“We shouldn’t get bullied into believing that people can be any sex they want to be. They can’t. A man is a man and a woman is a woman, that’s just common sense.” — Rishi Sunak

This is what Rishi Sunak said today during his closing speech at the Conservative Party Conference. And so, the US culture war officially arrives in the UK.

We can soon expect raging debates about transgender bathrooms, Wokeism and the country will be divided into 2. Just like the USA.

Why is this happening? Because the conservative party are desperate. After the outrageous PartyGate scandal, whereby entitled, posh, spoilt conservative party members held multiple parties during COVID lockdowns while the rest of the country was forced to social distance, the popularity of the conservative party is rock-bottom.

As it stands, the Tories have almost no chance of winning the next election. Which is why they’ve decided to join the culture wars. And you know what, if they double-down on the “anti-woke” sentiment, I think it might just work.

Already, based on just a single comment from Rishi Sunak, a large number of people will vote for him.

People are willing to change their vote based on a single comment

If the Tories take the anti-woke sentiment further, they may have a genuine chance at regaining their destroyed reputation.

The country will be split in two, dividing lines will be drawn, and we’ll all become too distracted by transgender bathrooms to have the bandwidth to focus on policies that actually matter.

People generally have incredibly short memories, especially in the social media age. They will soon forget about PartyGate and the 12 years of austerity. Their brains will be filled with endless, looping discussions of racism, feminism and transgender issues.

The housing crisis will continue, the rich will get richer, the poor will get poorer, the NHS will gradually become privatised by big pharma, and all the while we will be shouting at each other about what a woman is.

You see, political parties are constantly conducting market research on their own populations. They use the data they collect (including data from social media) to understand public sentiment and figure out which positions they should take on particular issues.

Of course, Rishi Sunak doesn’t actually care transgender issues. He’s made a calculated choice about exactly what he needs to say to try and win the next election.

The political speeches you watch on TV are just like advertising campaigns. Each speech that we see on TV has been carefully written by professional speech writers, and these speech writers use the data collected about the public to calculate precisely which words to say.

Most of the politics you see on television is just marketing. The real political discussions happen behind closed doors away from our eyes and the media’s cameras.

The success of a political party is not based on whether they actually improve the lives of the citizens of the country. Instead, it’s based on whether they can win the election and hold power for as long as possible.

And, as usual, because the general population isn’t media literate, they will continue to be easily manipulated by politicians to vote against their own interests.

Anyway. I digress.

The US culture wars have officially been imported into the UK. Thanks America.
