Opportunities and chances always look for individuals ready to seize them. These opportunities exist in abundance and favor those who are prepared. — Anthony Moore
Coming up! The Next Page of my Career Life
My opportunity search has officially overed! I have found my current calling and I can’t wait to share my thoughts.
Be vigorous and courageous.
Yes, The fortunes favour the bold. We are all aware of that but nowadays, how do we act as “Bold” and gain the “Fortunes”?
We are well-educated in fighting for opportunities. But, We often neglected the most important step before even this happens,
We need to fight for the opportunities to come up
I would rephrase the terms to “We need to fight for the opportunities for ourselves”.
Make the opportunities happen!
I was never been into the job-hunting business as my previous jobs are through referral. As I am not sure what I would like to do in my career, I am open to anything.
My recent job hunting experience revolutionizes my understanding of job hunting.
I used to be sending resumes and applying. but I realize that is like hitting a lottery after several disappointing attempts.
I turned my focus to reading through the tips and tricks about job hunting on Medium and Linkedin. I have learned I have been approaching job-hunting incorrectly. Here are the techniques I learned!
- How to pass through Application Tracking System (ATS)
- Getting a more fitting Resume for different jobs to landing an interview
- Throw myself to the audiences who would be interested in my application
(1) is rather simple and there are tons of articles going over that (Including using Word Cloud Generator).

Shoutout to Gaurava Shisha for this great tip, make sure to checkout his page!
(2) is an inspiring idea from Bogdan Zlatkov’s article. I would never learn the multi-resume strategy on my own. I created 3 different resumes to target different positions that I am interested in and capable of as well.
Besides of it helps me landing interviews on different aspects, through the drafting of the resumes and interviews. I realize some of the jobs which I initially thought I would be interested but turns out “nope”.
The steps are more meant to be a self-exploring that I understand myself more about what I actually want to do.
My guts refuse to let me write the resumes for jobs I don’t want to do deep down in my heart. And from that, I start to realize what I wanted to do at this moment.
(3) With numerous of reading on job hunting tips and tricks, I polished my LinkedIn Profile and Resume. I allocate 50% of my time on application submission to connect in Linkedin. Connecting with Talent Acquisition and Headhunters.
I have confidence in my LinkedIn profile and all I need is to let the World know I am open to jobs. Thus, I outreach to them and hope for the best!

Closing
I started by submitting 4x job applications and receive 3 interviews. To land 18 Job interviews after the above steps in 2 weeks. The rest of the time I am solely focused on preparing for each interview and “Fight for the Chances”.
I reflect on my job hunting that I have the thought of focusing on
“being ready to fight when the opportunity appears”
Instead of giving myself an excuse not to throw myself out there. I need to throw myself out there and fight for the opportunities to happen.
I think, that’s the true meaning of “Fortune favours the Bold”
