Was having a chat with a Medium mate on Twitter X today

She lives far across the seas — she lives so far away

We chatted about how the mass expulsions — have caused us much Tedium

In that so many innocent writers — were unceremoniously tossed off Medium

And those pushed — and those left behind — missed each other’s camaraderie

And were left shaking and tearful — in a state they would not rather be

For some like my human — well they just cancelled his subscription

With no notice at all — it was just a trial less conviction eviction

Much later he received an email — accused of all types of things

And in it they said how do you plea — have you committed these sins?

A couple of days later an email informed him, you can now come back

But if you commit this stuff once again — then its your bags you must pack

This left my human dazed and confused — yes, he was left scratching his head

As usually in a democracy you are presumed innocent — the good law has said

You writers are all human beings — yes you deserve a fair trial

You should be dealt with as people — and not like a monster that’s vile

So I propose when the AI spam robots — sweep our platform once again

Please do some research on their evidence — rather than act like Putin men

Because to make someone re-lock everything that vanished from the pay wall

Well this can take hours, if not days — yes, it is really quite a chore

Please remember what Martin Luther King said — and it wasn’t just chatter

Our Lives begin to end if we remain silent about the things that matter

So if you suspect a writer has been naughty — presume they are innocent first

Because to toss them out into the gutter as guilty — is really just the worst

Creating a climate of fear and loathing — is not the ideal prevention

Remember human beings have rights — and the Geneva Convention

We must all retain the spirit of love — on our platform called Medium

And with this love we will rise to the heavens — on that love gas called helium
