The Ugliest Thing You Would do to Succeed: Copycatting Someone or Something

Many people have failed in life because they try to imitate someone.

"It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation." — Herman Melville

This is a quote that I love because it shows how much the author cared about his work and the value of originality.

It’s not that he wasn’t proud of what he was doing—he just wanted it to be truly great, even if that meant making some mistakes along the way.

I think we all know people who are always trying to be like someone else or copycatting something.

It’s a terrible attitude because it undermines the power of your creativity and imagination. If you’re just trying to do what everyone else is doing, then you’re not being yourself.

And what’s worse? You aren’t learning anything new from anyone else; instead, you’re just copying someone else’s style and ideas into yours.

Final Takeaway

You can never be Mr. A, and Mr. A can never be you. If you want to remain where you are, then imitate people. But if you want to go far and beyond, then unleash the best edition of you — period!

Even if you’re going to look up to someone. Let his/her lifestyle be a source of motivation to you and nothing else. Learn from their experiences and improvise to make yours exceptional.

So… just be yourself and nothing more! Trying to be like someone is the greatest mistake you would ever make in life.
