The truth is, even if you do everything right every day, the likelihood of looking your absolute best first thing in the morning is infinitesimally small.
5 Ways How to Get Ready In The Morning To Be Better Looking Without Using Plastic Surgery

This list of five tips addresses some of the most common mistakes people make when getting ready for the day so that you’ll feel confident and ready to take on any challenge or hurdle that might be waiting for you outside your door.
So without further ado, here are my top five ways to get ready in the morning so that you can look better!
1. Watch the sunrise.
People who live in urban centers like New York City may be too busy to notice these days, but up here in Seattle, it sometimes feels like the sun comes up before you do. I recently learned that when I wake up early enough, I can see the sun’s rays peeking through my bedroom window when I wake up before the alarm sounds — which is not ideal for anyone who works in creative industries or in service industries that involve early morning manual labor.
But there’s a really cool way to take advantage of this phenomenon. I’ve found that watching the sunrise is an amazing way to get ready because it gives you the opportunity to meditate on what’s coming up that day and how you’re going to be able to handle whatever comes your way, which can lead to more confidence than even performing an act of physical strength or willpower.
2. Eat breakfast foods that are high in protein or fiber.
There’s a good chance you already know this, but protein is one of the best things you can eat for maximum mental clarity and performance. For breakfast, I like to make protein power smoothies (many of which can be customized to work for your tastes), but even eating eggs, turkey bacon, cheese, oatmeal, Greek yogurt — whatever your preference may be — will help you become more alert and ready to tackle whatever it is that day has in store for you.
Fiber is another excellent way to get the day off to a great start. Most green leafy vegetables are a nutrient-rich source of fiber, and a handful of them will keep you feeling full for much longer than you’d expect. Plus, this type of food is high in antioxidants, which protect your body from free radicals and other types of damage that can make you look older before you’ve even had a chance to start aging.
3. Wear something that makes you feel good — and it doesn’t have to have a designer label.
I have a pair of jeans that I picked up at Target about seven years ago, and they still fit me perfectly. And I’ve never washed them — they’re just the same. They may not be made by Jimmy Choo or DKNY or Calvin Klein, but they fit my body perfectly well enough, are very much in style right now, are affordable, and are well made. In other words, they’re a no-brainer.
The same is true for just about everything I wear in the morning. And that’s because I wear things that make me look and feel better, regardless of how much they cost. Aside from a few exceptions, you’ll find most things I choose to purchase will be made by a brand name company or a very well known designer because it’s simply easier to do research on brands and evaluate their quality when you’ve got a lot of money to burn — which I don’t.
It is possible, of course, to wear something like a pair of old khakis or Wonder Woman shoes and feel great about yourself because those items are beautiful and they make you look good. But I haven’t found that style has anything to do with feeling good about myself. Wearing a pair of comfy blue jeans that fit my body well and have lasted for years makes me feel better — and that’s what’s important.
4. Drink the right thing first thing in the morning.
Sugar is the devil. If you want to be productive and energized, have positive thoughts, and feel relaxed, I’d recommend something sweet that’s high in antioxidants instead of something sweet that’s empty of nutrients.
I always lower my chance for a sugar crash by having some caffeine before I get out of bed. A cup of coffee or tea is enough to get me energized for my morning routine, but it also helps me get through any last-minute beauty routine I might have needed to perform.
The right thing to eat before you do anything is a piece of fruit, and it doesn’t have to be a banana. I’m a fan of apples and pears because they’re easy for me to eat and they make a great addition to my morning smoothie.
5. Obvious, But Brush your teeth every single day.
Yes, you read that right — even if you just brushed your teeth last night. I don’t care if you’re in a rush and don’t have time to brush them again within the hour, I want you to do it anyway.
Brushing your teeth every single day is one of the easiest ways to make yourself more alert, energized, and amazingly beautiful. There’s a reason why I’ve been putting a lot of emphasis on beauty in these articles, and it’s because looking good is so important.
You don’t have to spend money on “beauty products” to feel confident, but you do need to spend time and brush your teeth every single day. There’s a reason some of the most beautiful people on earth never shower or bathe: they don’t see it as necessary. They feel more confident and powerful than those who shower every day because everyone knows that looking good is more important than looking clean.
Even if you spend your whole day slouching, grunting, and complaining about things, just remember — you’re still beautiful. So smile.
