Abstract

ish nature had anything to do with her name, A-man-da. I remember grazed knees and frozen peas! And playing handball on the cracks in the driveway.

Not my dad’s proudest moment, he had a near-death experience in a drunk driving car accident — rolled the car six times (don’t ask me who counted).

As a result, all of our supermarket trips were made on foot. The walking there was alright, it was the walking back that was tough! My dad would have three bags in each hand and my brother and I would carry our fair share of the load. Did I mention we lived up a hill? I could have sworn my arms would fall off!

I remember super-sized cockroaches in the shed, connected to the house by a few downward concrete steps. Come to think of it, they were probably normal-sized cockroaches, but my eyes were smaller back then.

My parents were separated but living together. My dad was a budding wedding and lifestyle photographer and my mum, a taste tester at the supermarket. My dad and sister slept on a pull-out couch in the lounge, my mum and brother in the bed below mine. Our house was tiny, but I didn’t care. We were together, and we were happy!

I guess it would have been a stressful time for my parents, but I was well sheltered from it. They made me feel like the most blessed, happy, and loved kid, and I will always appreciate them for it!

Check out this poem dedicated to my mum on Mother’s Day!

A Mother’s Day Breakfast

A 30-day challenge

medium.com

</

The truth about the 5 am Club.

An article, not like the others you have read.

A lot of articles are on medium talking about the 5 am rule that will transform you and your life to whatever you like and desire. These articles explain why if you wake up at 5 am you can archive the life you always wanted.

If you break it down(what the other articles are claiming)the reasons are reasonable and logical.

Yes, you will have more time to spend trough the day but that is true only if you sleep at the same time you were sleeping before.

Yes, it is true that in the morning hours there is silence and that silence gives you clarity. It is better and easier to concentrate when you have nothing to detract you from what you want to accomplish.

But the same is true if you follow another routine, where you wake up at 12am. That is the time where most people go to sleep and you will not take a call on your smartphone and silence is around you.

Furthermore, I know so many people who are waking up this time but haven’t archived their ideal life. There are workers who must wake up at this time so that they are on time in the factory or maybe in the bakery to prepare your bread.

Yeah, I know these pure guys are the exception of the rule.

But I have friends who are working night either as barman or waiters or DJs. Put them in the exception too. What I am trying to say is that a lot of people who are around as can not follow the 5 am rule. Are these guys doomed to never reach there full potential and their dreams? I let you answer the question.

Finally, I want to mention that if you like to know more about the 5 am rule it would be great to read the book 5 am Club from the author Robin Sharma. There you could find all the information you need and will have a more spheric view of what it is all about. I am not against the articles but I see a lot of transported “wisdom” from the best-sellers books to an article. Reading the book is different. That is what I am saying.

I don’t say that waking up early in the morning isn’t a good habit. After all, remember that we are humans but still remain animals who operate best in the light. We are not bats who are waking up with the dark.

It is not random that you grew up and you were listening all the time that night's sleep is not replaceable.

To close this article I want to say to all of you that you can archive your dreams even if for the one or the other reason you can’t wake up at 5 am. You need persistence and patience to follow the path you have decided. Maybe more important is to have found your goal first. Then plan your path and stick with it.

I write about a lot of things. If you like to hear news from me, stay in touch.
