The Truth About Iman Gadzhi

Iman has taken the internet world by storm over the last few years.

I remember first coming across his content in 2022 and was filled with uninhibited rage.

My eyes couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

Here was a guy 3 years younger than me making more money than my entire family has ever seen in its lifetime (maybe, I haven’t tracked my family tree.)

At the time I was blown away by the immense success he’d experienced at such a young age.

And although he loves to flex his impressive watch collection, it’s less in-your-face than what Mr. Top G Andrew Tate used to do.

In many ways, Iman is the paradoxical protege Tate never had.

He used parallel marketing strategies to accumulate his riches.

He even targeted the same audience.

But the outcomes couldn’t be more different.

While Andrew Tate became both public enemy number 1 and a God to his followers, Iman catapulted his audience size while staying somewhat under the radar.

Sure, people on the business side of the internet know who he is.

But does your dad?

No chance.

He’s been able to climb the ranks of internet fame whilst remaining inconspicuous and I think that’s worth praising.

Now, let’s get to the drama.

Iman has been known to be slightly sneaky when it comes to keeping his word.

There was a time when he lied about having his video removed by the “puppet masters”.

Only for it to be revealed later on that he deleted it himself.

And just a few days ago, he said he’d delete a video after 47 hours but it stayed up for much longer.

Depending on when you’re reading this, it might still be up!

Sidenote, if you want to sell something, always use odd numbers.

I don’t know what it is about humans, but they’re absolute suckers for odd numbers.

Back to the story, Iman has had a history of being labelled duplicitous and his track record isn’t as pristine as it used to be.

So, why is this important?

Well, Iman has become accussed of scamming his fans.

In other news, water is wet.

Do I think he’s a scammer?

No.

I don’t.

Just because he sells something expensive doesn’t mean he’s scamming anyone.

The definition of a scam is as follows:

“a dishonest scheme ; a fraud”

I don’t think Iman is doing either of those things.

Now, whether the things he sells are overpriced is another matter altogether.

I haven’t bought his products so I can’t say either way.

But this kneejerk response to call every man and his donkey a scam needs to end.

The truth is, many people are jealous of Iman’s riches.

And that’s fine.

Humans are built to be resentful of people who have what we don’t.

It makes us feel as though they’re taking something which should belong to us.

It’s basic human psychology.

As I mentioned at the beggining of this article, I too was immensely jealous of him.

How couldn’t I be?

I was 23 at the time, while he was 21.

And yet, if you were to look at both of our bank balances, my one would resemble the networth of a middle age peasant while his was closer to Warren Buffett.

Of course I was jealous.

I couldn’t fathom someone younger than me being so much richer than I was.

Deep in my animal mind, I was filled with hatred and an assumption that he took something that should have been mine.

But the truth is, Iman hasn’t taken anything from me or any of his haters.

He’s taken money from his customers, and in turn he’s given them a product.

He’s used the customers for his course to upsell them on a software which he’s built.

And he’s also cultivated a massive audience on social media and set up a never-ending funnel into these businesses.

In short, he’s a bloody good businessman.

The reason people hate seeing this is because they know they could do the same, but aren’t.

Iman has literally documented his entire existence since the age of 14 or 15.

You can go back and see the boy turn into a man.

In many ways, he has more credibility than most billionaires.

Why?

Because you can actually see what was going on in his life.

Before I continue, let me be clear.

I don’t think he’s a saint.

I also doubt he’s always kept his word.

And although I’ve never been a customer of his, I’ve spoken to many who are and they don’t have great things to say about his products.

In addition to this, his marketing materials (although objectively excellent) rub me the wrong way.

Especially when you consider who he’s selling his courses to.

Broke boys who want what he has.

Running ads targeting these lads while he’s smoking a cigar outside a mansion doesn’t sit right with me.

But then again, the results speak for themselves.

He’s a businessman and he’s simply going to do what will make his business the most money.

I can’t fault him for this at all.

Over the course of his career, he’s probably tried countless marketing strategies.

He may have tried being really lowkey and got zero results from it.

He may have tried leaning into his authenticity only to be brutally ignored.

Perhaps he arrived at this extremely successful approach through relentless trial and error.

Trial and error most people simply aren’t willing to go through.

And since they’re not willing to do so, they won’t get the same results.

To conclude, there is a lot you can learn from Iman Gadzhi.

Not from his content, but more so in his approach to online business.

Unless you’re a complete beginner, I don’t know if you’ll find much value in his content.

I’m not saying it’s bad, I’m saying its tailored for a very specific person.

Studying Iman will teach you the power of personal branding and belief.

Although people claim his backstory is fake, there’s no way to prove or falsify this claim.

Either way, all of the people you see who dominate the online arena do invariably come from nothing.

They’re not industry plants who have support from high-level executives at YouTube headquarters.

They literally start off as just guys with cameras and an internet connection.

So in this sense, Iman and the people like him did come from nothing.

Whether you choose to believe it or not is your problem.

But even if they did lie, you can’t deny that they turned their lies into truth.

When Iman and his friends set out to become online business owners, they were lying.

It was a dream that had not been achieved yet.

And until that dream became a reality, they would always be lying to themselves.

The difference is, they worked hard enough to turn their lie into the truth.

And this is an incredibly powerful lesson you can learn from the likes of Iman Gadzhi.

If your will and desire to achieve something is great enough, and you believe you will achieve it no matter what, it’s only a matter of time before you brainwash yourself to success.

That’s the main thing you can learn from him.

Don’t bother buying his products, I find more actionable tips just from scrolling the Twitter timeline.

But if you want a story that will inspire you to move, look no further than the Dagestani who doesn’t grapple.
