Since 2017, Vancouverites have been treated with the name TRUMP in giant chrome letters festooning a combination hotel and condo tower on West Georgia Street, one of the main business streets in Vancouver.

That garish reminder of a horrible family is now gone. The hotel went bankrupt in August 2020. The complex was owned by an investment group from Malaysia who leased the Trump name to add, what they thought at the time, a touch of class to their investment. Imagine. They could not have picked a more classless name.

The complex has been in the hands of a bankruptcy trustee who has been entertaining offers from prospective buyers and all, the while that sign has been a daily reminder of one of the most immoral families ever to be associated with Canada.
