The True Story of Sticks and Stones
Poetry

Sticks and stones may break your bones But words can haunt forever For when a break has been made right The bones become like tether
But when a word slips off the tongue Because you thought you were clever And all the time you spent building love But now a relationship is severed
So before you go around and say ‘There’s no way, I would never’ Take a minute, sit back and listen We’re all in this together
