The Tree of Life
A Poem Of The Earth
The reasons why we come and go The stories told that were once unknown The spark of life and future glow The tree of knowledge has always known
The glorious trunk of majesty Has stored all memories of our earthly home The branches funnel all joy and wonder So at the end of time, we can sit and ponder
Our worth in the grand scheme of life Our value in what’s come and gone Our life spent trying to live good and true Our success or failure measured
The planet that we live upon Resources spent or going strong Willows weeping for life extinct Or to celebrate our stewardship
Until then we must pay our dues And take care of what we borrow The beautiful place that we call our home From the tree of life, it flows
