The Time Traveller
A letter to my future self
I hope your life is good I hope the things I’m doing Have at long last taken you Somewhere worth pursuing.
The sacrifice I make right now Should bring good times and health I’m often tempted to give up But then I screw my future self.
Too young to wait I took my chances All the fun I don't regret But you deserve much more than this More than easy choices get.
So here I am Nowhere near To where I thought I’d be But all the misadventures Have educated me.
At least my eyes are open And my whole life hasn’t run So I’ll be careful what I do You are what I’ll become.
You are all that I will be The minutes and the moves If I’m quick and fast The win won’t last And in the end you lose.
