The Three Important Principles To Live A Happy, Contented And Satisfied life
Speak no evil, hear no evil, see no evil

Yoga has some beautiful exercises. They calm the mind and body. This morning, I do some deep breathing calming exercises every day.
Keeping my hand on my mouth I breathed out with the words hahaha. Then I closed my ears and eyes and made a bumblebee sound loudly three times. Then I put my hands on my eyes and smile. I felt relaxed.
These exercises besides being useful for the mind and body also bring a lot of calm, happy, and relaxed thoughts to our minds. They are just like the Japanese practise of good living of avoiding the important evils and living a stress-free life.
I thought I should share with you so that you also relax and feel satisfied in life.
These are reminders also to the Shinto religion from Japan that project the three monkeys in their carvings. The monkeys are, first, Mizaru who is considered to be the wise monkey. He covers his eyes because he does not see evil. Second, the monkey by the name of Kikazaru covers his ears and is saved from listening to all types of evil, and the third monkey named Iwazaru keeps his mouth covered because he does not want to speak any evil.
Thus the monkey carvings are representative of seeing no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil Though these principles of life were started in the 17th century in Japan it was later projected by Mahatma Gandhi (of India)as a message of peace and tolerance to the world the three monkeys. His monkeys were called Bapu (See no evil), Ketan(hear no evil), and Bandar (speak no evil).
The Three Principles Of A Satisfying Life
Why should we adopt these- see no evil, speak no evil, and hear no evil philosophy, and how does it come in Yoga and fitness program also?
See No Evil
It is a known fact that if you have good people around you, you are blessed with good thoughts. The philosophy simply means that you should keep away from people who have a vile temperament. This will help you to keep your mind clean, comfortable, and relaxed. It has a calming effect on the mind.
When you see incidents of rape, murder, accident, or sickness, you are mentally affected and disturbed by it. It does not mean that you keep your eyes closed and not voice your opinion. It only means that you meet people with a healthy and clean mind.
The Yoga exercise where a person closes the eyes and loudly says OM three times connects you to the higher self and clears one’s mind and brings good thoughts inside one's mind.
Hear No Evil
There are different kinds of people in your life. Healthy criticism is good but when people are nasty and want to put others down or show them in poor light then you should not listen and act by doing something against their favor. Try to be a good person and help others as fas as you can.
Working in an organization often created situations where people lying to gain favor by showing complaining about the work of other people. You should guard against these types of complaints and side with the truth. Thus hear no evil will keep your life happy, satisfied, and contented.
The exercise of closing your ears from the external sounds, so you hear your inner self and look deep inside you. You will feel calm and relaxed as you will be able to raise your inner self to discipline yourself and refrain from listening to evil about others. This will help to form your own opinion and judgments about people.
Speak no evil
Speak no evil is absolutely under your control. Refrain from speaking evil about people. If you have good thoughts you will always speak well and appreciate people when they deserve it. Then you will always be in a state of balance without any fear of unknown or uncertain circumstances in your life.
Always utter words that bring happiness to others or connect with them positively. You are sure to live a satisfied and contented life,
The breathing exercise where you breathe out with a ha ha ha you are throwing out all the bad and evil words with your breath and are filled with good thoughts and good words. Expel everything that is evil and connect yourself with happiness and goodness of heart.
Final thoughts Life is full of unexpected events and often we are attracted to things that are not good to have a satisfied and contented life. A philosophy and practice of ‘see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil’ is attached with many eastern philosophies from Japan and India and reinforced by religions and thinkers in different societies. Practice having a clean mind by opening yourself to good thoughts. Keep away from evil in all forms see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil and you will have a stress free happy, satisfied, and contented life.
