The Three Core Desires of Masculine Men

And what it means in the 21st century.

Men only want three things: women, money, and a body.

Here’s what it means in the 21st century.

1. Women

The expendable male hypothesis states that males have less value in society than females have for purely biological reasons.

You can do a lot more with five men and fifteen women than you can with five women and fifteen men.

This biological reality dictates pretty much everything else in society.

This is also why women are less likely to die at birth, more likely to outlive men, and why they resist pain better than men do (they need to give birth).

This is also why men get sent to war, do the dangerous jobs in society, and why there’s no such thing as “free drinks for boys” on Thursday night.

Since the dawn of time, women have been prized and sought by all men, including the most powerful in the world.

These men rarely hesitated to jeopardize their kingdoms, built castles, abdicate, or start wars for the women they loved.

Men love and need women to an extent few women really understand.

While the mainstream take is that women have been “objectified” by men thereby explaining their historically highly coercive and controlling approach, the correct version is that women were in fact the most important elements in society, one to protect and pay great attention to.

Why?

It is now commonly agreed that the number one cause for conflict isn’t religion but lack of resources (as it was for the first recorded war).

If we consider air, food, water, and shelter as indispensable resources, then “women” through the intermediary of sex would de facto become indispensable too.

When Maslow wrote “sex” at the base of his pyramid, he knew what he was talking about.

The need for sex was a clever way for nature to ensure that a species would reproduce enough to survive.

As a result, a lack of women — or a lack of sex — in society was, is, and always will bring on considerable risk for social peace.

This is likely what explains the establishment of marriage from a very early age (2350 before Christ, at the very least) and why this concept was common throughout regions and cultures that had never interacted with one another.

Women are more than just a “desire” for men. They’re a necessity.

I remain persuaded that men desire women more than women desire men (but women suffer more from being single than men do).

There is no such thing as a society “lacking men”.

The fewer men there are proportional to the number of women, the more peaceful society will be.

We often cite nuclear apocalypse or environmental catastrophe as possible reasons for societal collapse.

But a lack of women — or the worsening of the “single epidemic” — would likely be much worse.

The collapse of religious faith, the spread of technology, increased freedom, decreased social pressure, and persistent lies from the mainstream narrative have all contributed to the increase in singlehood and the difficulty to find a suitable partner.

Marriage used to be a given in the past.

It no longer is.

So make sure you do the things you need to do to get a girlfriend.

Anyone who isn’t dating will permanently feel “half”, as in, “not whole” and fail to lead a happy and fulfilling life (something no amount of redpill or mainstream propaganda will ever alter).

No wife. No life.

2. Money

Money is a genius invention that enables the universal measurement of delivered value and the storage of that value.

So, why do men want money?

On the lowest level, we need money to survive (for food, water, and shelter).

On the intermediary level, we need money to live (for restaurant, holidays, and entertainment).

On the superior level, we *want* money for the freedom to do what we want, when we want, where we want, and with who we want.

Freedom is one of the cornerstones of masculinity.

In the period between the end of slavery and serfdom until the beginning of the 20th century, most men freely engaged in economic activity by themselves.

Very few were employees, everyone was an entrepreneur. It still is mostly the case in developing countries.

The development of social security, the widening of the social contract, the lack of fathers in their homes, and the rise of the nanny state have transformed most men into slaves, hopelessly dependent on a job to feed their families (when they have some).

This wasn’t necessarily bad in recent decades.

Back in the 1960s, my grandfather bought two houses, a car, went on holiday, saved some money, and fed a family of four kids and a stay-at-home wife on one salary.

He was a slave, sure, but a well-paid one in a dynamic economy.

Today, a childless couple that works full time will struggle to pay rent or go on holidays.

As a result, money doesn’t merely enable you to survive — it goes much deeper than that.

It helps you fulfill your destiny by ensuring the freedom you were born to experience.

And the only way to acquire enough money in an independent manner today is to build a business.

3. Body

The last desire of men is one few admit to themselves: body.

There are three reasons why men want a nice body.

  1. They want to look good in the mirror.
  2. They want to attract women.
  3. They want to look better than the other men.

There isn’t anything specific to know about this section as it hasn’t changed in 350 000 years.

Lift weight, eat enough, rest enough, and sleep enough.

4. The Fourth Desire

The above desires are shared by all men on the planet, no matter their culture, religion, or ethnicity — they’re biological desires.

Yet a small subset of men secretly longs for a fourth desire: conquest.

In the past, conquest was going to war. Men didn’t dream as much about becoming rich as they did about becoming powerful — and war was the main instrument for such endeavors.

Today, no one is seriously thinking about conquering new lands anymore (except for a few lunatics).

Rather, actual wars have been replaced by business wars (entrepreneurship); corporate wars (careerism); sports wars (competitions); romantic wars (dating) and more.

Men’s need for competition comes from the drive to dominate because it is the men at the top that get the best women.

Today competition enables them to do so in a non-violent manner (except for martial arts).

If you already have a girlfriend, a business, good money yet still lack meaning in your life, then you need to go on a conquering journey.

The noblest one is of course the conquest of the self.

Conclusion

A failure to go after these three (or four) goals will result in the failure to lead a happy and fulfilling life.

Few good-looking business owners married to a wife they love will complain of being unhappy (except if they’re paying too much taxes, but well…).

And when you meet unhappy men, they always lack in their pursuit of at least one of these three objectives.

All in all, men are not complicated.

Fulfilling the three masculine desires definitely is.

But knowing what to fulfill is easy.
