The Taste of Forever

How elegance is felt by a poet

What if elegance was the scent of a sunrise unbeknownst to most however, felt by empaths when seen between what isn’t?

What if elegance was the taste of forever strung like perfect pearls with each knot linking sacred feelings to remember truth.

What if elegance excluded the want for wealth but was the spirit of diversity’s kindness in love’s magic of living?

What if elegance embraced all these qualities in hope, joy, and trust similar and yet different understanding we are one.

Special thank you to Galit Birk, PhD for the writing prompt, elegant and a further challenge to write a Haiku or Tanka using the prompt or a derivative. This is my first attempt at a Tanka poem and I find the structure so needed and deliciously grounding.
