The Tao of Creativity: How to Put It Into Practice
If you want to be creative, you need to put together the ingredients for your creativity.

Creativity is very powerful. Yet many people struggle with it. But we are all capable of connecting with this power inside of us.
What Is Creativity?
Whether you are an author, a poet, a painter, a musician or in any creative arena, you will be greatly inspired to learn the principles of creativity.
Creativity is the expression of self. It is the ability to recognize something that isn’t there and to bring it into existence. It is the ability to step back from your problems, to see solutions where others see problems or to see solutions in problems themselves. It is the ability to see the world from a point of newness.
Why Is Creativity So Important?
Creativity is important because it allows us to advance as individuals and because it allows us to make our world a better place, through art, music, and literature.
Creativity also allows us to find solutions to issues that plague us on every level. It allows us to understand who we are.

I personally love to use creativity for writing and to find new ideas for my other projects. I often have ideas when i am in a meditative or flow state!
Do You Need to Be Well Educated in Order to Be Creative?
At a certain level you do need to be well-educated in order to be creative. You need a mastery of the tools of your trade. You need to know how to use words, for example.
But you also need to realize that there is no one way to be creative. There is no right or wrong to creativity.
You need to find your own way to be creative, while at the same time following the principles that create creativity.
The Principles of Creativity
Those principles could help you connect with your creative self:
- Creativity, in and of itself, is a form of freedom.
- Creativity is always seeking.
- Problems have multiple solutions.
- Mistakes are opportunities to discover solutions.
- Thinking only in terms of black or white results in gray solutions.
- The ego is not creative.
- Creativity is the exploration of a limitless and infinite mystery.

How to Put Creativity Into Practice?
Creativity is more than just knowing the rules of being creative. Being creative is not achieved by just knowing the rules.
You must put the principles of creativity into practice by making mistakes. By seeing and understanding the illusion of mistakes. By stepping back from your problems and getting a new perspective on them.
I often experience this while meditating. Meditation allows me to watch myself, my character and all my positive and negative sides from a larger perspective.
Many creative people work best in the flow state. It is a state where you are one with what you are doing and your senses are completely engaged.
In the flow state you will feel an absolute confidence in your ability to be creative. You will have a feeling of total control over the situation.
Raising your vibration or awareness of yourself and your emotions is also important. You need to be able to see your emotions for what they are. You need to be aware of your emotions. You need to see when your emotions are holding you back from being creative.
You can learn how to do that here:
Getting into the flow state is important to creative work. You must also be in a place of emotional calm. Anger and fear will stifle your creativity. You will not be able to work in a truly positive and productive way.
Drawing from the tools of creativity is important to working creatively. The tools of creativity are creation, imagination, intuition and inspiration. These are tools, often present in all of us, that can be drawn upon in any moment to achieve a new way of looking at the world.
My Creative experiences and projects:
I personally love being in a creative state of consciousness! It allows me to not only be in love with what I am creating and who I am being, but also allows me to connect with a higher part of me I have not much access to in a “lower” density of consciousness.
I’m always creating new things. I made a few batik shirts and pullovers this week, love to draw now and then, and also have an Etsy shop where I create art in the form of digital downloads to print or use as a wallpaper.
Writing is also a place where I discover myself. I enjoy writing about what is at this very moment on my plate. These topics cover spirituality, philosophy, science or in a broader sense, mind-expanding content.
Creating new things for me means to be free. I’m free of the confinements of the past and the future. I’m free to see the reality in the now and to dream at will. Furthermore, I don’t need much money or want it to survive under all conditions, I want to answer a need in the bigger scheme of things, I want to contribute to a better world, by using my creativity.
