The Sunset To Remember
The radiant rays took my breath away
The radiant rays of the sun, Took my breath away, It was so awesome, I was glued to the site.
What was so special? The gleaming sunlight, leaving a golden color, On the water below.
The sky was red, The sun losing steam, Lingering on the horizon, Glowing all the way down.
Deeply lost in thought, A feeling of gratitude, The splash of water, Serenity all around.
The sunrise bursts energy, Sunset a feeling of peace, A special message of hope, love and gratitude to all.
I had taken a vacation to Goa. Sitting on the beach I was watching the sunset. I was focused and wrapt with attention. It was the most beautiful sunset. Splashes of the waves were very peaceful and I felt a surge of gratitude. Watching the beautiful sun slowly setting from the warm rays to a cooler evening. It was a sunset to remember.
Thank you, dear Francine Fallara, for publishing my poems in Blue Insights. I enjoy contributing to the publication.
Some time ago I had written a poem on sunrise. I had promised James G Brennan that I will soon be writing a poem on sunset a sequel to my sunrise one. He had commented that he was more a sunset admirer.
