The sun shines kindly upon me on the days I am accepting of the light On the days I don’t want to reside in darkness and shut out the world that moves too quickly and too loudly for my quiet soul

It breathes life back into this tattered being a mind overwrought with thoughts and memories and too busy to just sit still and accept the light

The sun shines kindly upon me blinding me until I can see and warming me until I feel held by its glow Its warm hands cradling me like a baby and letting me know that this is the end of the dark tunnel I had been in
