The Strongly Vulnerable Writer
The strongly vulnerable writer is a diplomat of the emotions. One who manages to carefully balance and unite on the one hand a self-confident and independent voice and on the other, one that masters a capacity for closeness, honesty and self-revelation.
The strongly vulnerable writer knows how to confess with authority. They can sound in control even while revealing that they have a deep feeling of being lost. They can write as grown ups about their childlike dimensions. They can be unfrightening at the same time as admitting to their own fears. They can write and share their immense desire for being read and followed by as many people as possible while simultaneously leaving their readers under the impression that they could fully survive a frank rejection emotionally unaltered.
The strongly vulnerable writer is a mixture of candor and independence. It doesn’t need to “play it cool”, because it carries on the high enthusiasm for writing in a way which sidesteps the dangers that playing it cool has traditionally been associated with.
This type of writer is only going to outgrow itself by becoming stronger while sharing it’s weakest. It knows the path around self-acceptance and guides it’s readers to follow it. It can be liberating and inspiring to read. It might be the change in a lot of today’s society and a very welcomed breeze of fresh words.
