The article "The Sound Of Honesty" reflects on the profound and introspective nature of silence, likening it to honesty and emphasizing the importance of embracing the present moment without seeking to dissect or understand it.

Abstract

The essay "The Sound Of Honesty" by Angel Axuly delves into the philosophical interpretation of silence as a form of communication that transcends words. The author expresses a deep appreciation for the soundlessness of honesty, which is not about the absence of noise but the presence of a pure, unspoken truth. This silence is depicted as a timeless conversation between the air and the atmosphere, existing long before our presence and continuing unaffected by our attempts to decipher it. The author suggests that instead of trying to solve the mystery of silence, we should accept it as a canvas for our thoughts and a space for mental clarity. The piece encourages readers to let go of the need to uncover hidden meanings in life, to listen to the quietude, and to recognize it as an opportunity for self-reflection and creation.

I love the sound of honesty. The sound that is no sound.

Listen to the feeling of nothing be so kind to you.

The air doesn’t speak about a future, nor does it attempt to bring up a past.

The air only speaks to the atmosphere.

It’s a conversation that has been happening way before you were here.

There is only so much silence could say.

The voice of the air is a mystery and a mystery does not want to be solved.

To avoid wasting an entire existence trying to figure out the unanswerable,

allow silence to be only that.

You can walk in suspicion, expecting something to be revealed.

The answers will not be in the invisible air.

What you hear is just a blank page open to new creation.

A clean surface for thoughts to run around.

I hush again, thinking I might have heard something.

It must have been my eyes moving again with curiosity.
