Abstract

The article "The Kind of Society in Which We Are Living In" discusses the paradoxical nature of contemporary society, where despite diverse backgrounds, people share commonalities due to globalization and the attitudes of its inhabitants. It describes a society that prides itself on human values, morals, and ethics, yet is deeply entrenched in technology, which has altered traditional priorities and social interactions. Because of such a society, the world has become a global village.

We live in a different society that is known by its name, area, people, and many other reference things, but you know what, we all are living in a similar society in certain ways. The kind of society I am living in has the same things as that of yours. The reason behind this is the attitude of the people and the globalization of the world.

The society in which we live is consists of people who belong to varied backgrounds. It is full of human beings who possess human values, morals, and ethics. It is a free and independent one. It has plenty of things but carries in its own way. People are living peaceful and harmonious life under the umbrella of technology.

This society is making progress with every passing second of life. Unlike primitive times, this society has the tools to live in cold and hot environments irrespective of environmental conditions. The reason behind this is the invention of necessity.

I am living in a society where priorities have changed as mobile phones eat first, social contacts come first as compared to relationships. Social media gains more importance as compared to the social culture. The recording of everything becomes necessary. This society is not living the moment. This society is happy with online engagements. People of this society are not tasting the real essence of things.

In this society, people are more concerned about their appearance. They polish their outer self as compared to the inner self. They are curious about the reviews from others. They believe that decoration defines the people and the society.

The more you embellish yourself, the more you are likely to be hit.

The society in which we live is dwelling our its path and may likely be absorbed in this path. The harsh truth about this society is that it is marching towards the destruction instead of destruction march to it. Tom Brokaw once claims,

We became a society utterly absorbed in consumption and dismissive of moderation.

This society is devoid of all the old age miseries but full of social, political, and cultural anxiety. The reason behind this is the global world which has created a substitute for everything.

I am not sick of such a society but enjoy things as it is. I do not condemn this society but look forward to a revival in a positive way. I hope we all come out of such a long tunnel of darkness.

So what do you think about society?
