The Snow Queen
A tale told of the cold
The snow queen rides Through frozen divides Her breath a frosted breeze
Her gown of white Reflects the moonlight Enchanting all she sees
Beware the guise Held in her eyes She’ll chill you to the bone
You’ll become prey Her frozen display Then leave you all alone
Try to dismiss Her blustery kiss It’s meant to turn your blood blue
It’s her desire To become the fire That burns eternal in you
She craves the heat That makes your heartbeat Something she’ll never feel
Winter’s deep cold Is all she’ll behold So yours, she’ll try to steal
This is a war Which she’s fought before And win’s time and again
There’s no defense Her power’s immense Her trophy the lives of men
Beware the queen She’s wicked and mean Her soul’s as cold as she
Keep your heart warm You’ll weather the storm And spring, again, you’ll see

Thank you Tree Langdon for giving me the courage to do this. I always have a hard time putting my poetry out there for the world.
