The famous Andrew Tate said this sentence in a video I saw recently. Tate has made headlines in recent weeks for his banning from various social networks after going viral with his controversial content.
I found this statement so interesting that I checked the facts. Read on to find out whether men are actually smarter.
Top 10 Most Intelligent People
Let’s take a look at the most intelligent people in the world.
The most intelligent person of all time is William James Sidis, born in 1898, who studied mathematics at Harvard at the tender age of 11.
Experts estimate his IQ to be an incredible 250–300.
In second place is the Australian mathematician Terence Tao with an IQ of 225–230.
The third most intelligent person is Christopher Hirata — IQ 225. He won the gold medal at the International Physics Olympiad at the age of 13.
So far, Tate seems to be right.
Among the 10 most intelligent people in the world, there are only two women, Marilyn Vos Savant and Judit Polgar.
However, this does not mean that men are more intelligent than women.
There is a different reason.
Gender Differences In Intelligence
According to psychological findings, there is no significant difference between the average intelligence of men and women. The statement that men are smarter is therefore false.
However, there is a clear difference between men and women in the distribution of intelligence, which explains why many of the smartest people are men:
There is a higher variance among men. Men dominate not only the upper but also the lower end of the intelligence spectrum.
You could say that the smartest and dumbest people are men.
