Moments Of Eternity/Book/Dream

The Sky, The Breeze,The Rain — If I Could Be Anything….

Response To DEP Prompt 22/52

Dream Window, Hand Painted/digitally enhanced, Nefelibata.in/ Monoreena

“A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe; a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts, and his feelings as something separate from the rest — a kind of optical delusion of consciousness” — Albert Einstein

The lure of the sky is unmistakable The lush blue of never-ending vision I take my ever winding mind-laps Undefined frontiers of my soul’s mission Stretching my arms to infinity’s maze I walk over the clouds, milky ways I glean The jasmine and lavender now floating in space That space is so fragrant, and smells like a dream

I want to be the sky…..

The horizon at a distance, blue smudged The sky tube paints water and sea A dip of sky-brush into the aquamarine See Marine in Aqua come alive to life’s plea Tortoise crawls on shores and those pelicans they meet Unicorns water’s delight, for mermaids they greet Swarming planktons, Pisces move un-seethed Oysters open, pearls some bubbles they breathe

How I want to be that sea…..

Specs of sand collide with water The ochre extension of Earth’s fraternity How she musters the courage to hold roots To this planet and its eternity My symbiotic existence, a creeper needy Painted in veins my desire’s graffiti Entangled to the terrestrial branching Thought’s teeth my wishes munching

And to this terra, I go hunting…..

The wind blows over a field of poppy Nudging some leaves on its way Witness the misery of a falling brown Hold secrets of love and pain It runs away with my cookie crumbs Mingled with dust rising to a call My cold tea slightly trembles As it crosses me with its unending haul

Do I want to be that breeze…..

The flying wind carries rain from my neighbor A few drops settled on my nose I close my eyes for the rain within A metaphor for the inside wail that arose If I could not be wind, live at my own will

At least can I be rain, that’s splashing on my window pane…..

I sit by my window and watch the day yawn The orange-purple twilight writes stories of Yore Some rain in May shines through the glistening sun In the rainbow aftermath, a butterfly flutters and flow The ocean tide rises to touch the speeding breeze The breeze blowing over the marshland of deserted weeds

The Sky…The Breeze…The Rain….

Can like me they be and feel — I can be all or anything travelling from my mind It’s only in human’s plea to be everything, without looking for their kind

My soul smiles at the child li’l sore Now but so wise and pretty old Searching for answers often untold Are always found hidden in my core….

So If you ask me what would I want to be — I will be ME, and me

Encore! Encore!

My Corner: A prompt I will love to write on — If I could be anything, what I want to be…..and the answer is definitely ME. Who else can be the sky, the bird, the breeze, the rain just by changing mind’s attire at will?! As Alice Walker rightly says, “If you fall in love with the imagination, you understand that it is a free spirit. It will go anywhere, and it can do anything”. — Nefelibata.in
