The Sky Remains Blue Above It All
Heaven and earth immaculately tailored Whether by chance or by creator Angelic rays kiss the ground like a homesick sailor Carving out shadows as a heated razor We attempt reasoning on parchments we scrawl On a rock where we are comparably small And the sky remains blue above it all
Foggy mists hug the horizon Steams from geysers fire like handguns Rivers spilling liquid where they run Desert dunes with sand baked by the sun Plots of land partitioned by walls With gourmet coffins where the worms crawl And the sky remains blue above it all
Blanketing white cumulous cry for the harvest Aimlessly throw bolts and roar at their darkest Plants grow high while mountains reach the farthest Canyons and valley inversions dip the largest Paradises paved for shopping malls Thoughtful primates building towers tall And the sky remains blue above it all
Trees licked by flames, inferno saliva tastes the forests Spiraling storms rip the roots of the shores Tectonics widen fissures as trap doors Crises mended by tiled floors Kings wander in spacious halls Vagabonds wander with no space at all And the sky remains blue above it all
Metal aircraft drag the firmament across Ballistic missiles get tossed Oiled machines propel exhaust Legions point fingers, blame and double-cross Soldiers cannon fodder and ragdolls Regimes rise and empires fall And the sky remains blue above it all
The sun shifts the hues to the right And farewells from our sight When the colors drain into night The celestial ornaments like lighters set alight Though not long after the colors dissolve The dimensions resolve And the sky remains blue above it all
