Review

The Sky is Pink Movie!

Afterthoughts…

Courtesy of Purple Pebble Pictures.

The Sky is Pink is an Indian film based on a true story of Aisha Choudhary, who suffered from severe combined immunodeficiency and pulmonary fibrosis, and tells the story of her parents Aditi and Niren as they navigate their marriage while dealing with their daughter’s illness. (Some Wikipedia regurgitate!)

I know this is too much of a late post!

But I realized this entry must be made…I owe it to the movie.

(I’m getting goosebumps even thinking about writing this…)

I watched Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink long ago but needed the time to process what I had watched! So I was very psyched about this film but it didn’t deliver to me my expected surprises (making it good)..!!

The inevitability of Death is known by everyone but accepted by none!

Feeling Pain is the only way to experience Happiness “(Think Over it )

The movie was amazing, the very concept was very novel like celebrating the death of a person (death day), giving a person the needed time to grieve was something that appealed to my heart!

The movie doesn’t force you to shed tears but explicitly states the message it wants to convey.

After watching the movie when you see the clips of the original Chaudhary family, it elevates your feelings to a whole different level: at that point of time it’s not just the goosebumps but it feels like having a beautiful wound…!! ( sleep on it )

Aisha didn’t have a long life but a big life since some infinities are bigger than other infinities (John Green)!!

I think it is a masterpiece & should be applauded!P.S. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara so stop worrying and start living!

We may not have the privilege/curse to know when we will die.

I didn’t sleep for days after watching this one, I was busy contemplating…

This song gave me chills right up my spine:

Here’s the trailer for your reference:

I urge you to watch this film, it’s available on Netflix. Also lastly if any of you do watch it do let me know what you think in the responses.

Thank you for reading.
