Cultural Prompt: “Learning to tame your grays between the dark and the fake…”
The Silver Lining
A Flicker of Hope

What to do? Nothing to do. Spouse sick and in bed, Lost my job in the pandemic.
Learning to move ahead, New hope with sunrise, Pick up the threads, Start quickly again.
Menacing clouds in the day, Dark and bellowing loudly, Colors remain sad and dreary, The rain falls clearing it all.
Unsurmountable problems, Deep in shock, back again to grey, Hands-on my cheeks with thoughts, Despair not, the silver lining is there.
Fighting the black to the grey, Back again with loads of energy, I love the colors in my life, Happy satisfied and contented again.
The sun shines now, Hope flickers in my mind, Flowers bloom in the garden, Life is colorful again.
Thank you to Blue Insights for accepting me as a writer for its publication. When I saw this prompt I thought that I should at least begin somewhere since I am now a writer here. I looked at the dates and found that submissions were possible until the 28th. of November. So here I am
I loved these words ‘We have the power to pick up the brush of our lives to tame our own grayness into greatness.’
Thank you to Francine Fallara at Blue Insights for this cultural prompt: “Learning to tame your grays between the dark and the fake…”
