The Seasons of Life Illustrated by a Spectacular Amaryllis
There is a time for everything

Universal Seasons of Life
There are universal seasons in life. Seasons that everyone goes through. Sometimes we embrace what these seasons hold, sometimes we try to avoid them. They are unavoidable. They are each spectacular in their own right-the way everything unfolds.
Season of Nurturing: Pre-Bloom
This is a time when, if conditions are right, we develop everything we need to fully support ourselves. If the conditions are not right, we may not fully develop without extra support. We are small and protected, not yet out in the world. There are growth spurts and periods of uneven development. There are parts that we used for protection against the world-they are no longer needed. Layers peel away. With the right nurturing we move through this season strong and sturdy. We will come into our own beauty that we will share with the world.

Season of Maturing: Bloom
This is the time we open up. We learn what we are truly capable of. We continue to grow and shine brighter each day. We are in our glory. The energy that we have to share with the world seems endless. We can make whatever we want of this season.

Season of Decline: Preparing for Dormancy
After some time, our once lush skin gets thin. We start to slow down and wither a bit. Nothing of such beauty lasts forever in a physical sense. The impression that our flowering days left on the hearts and minds of others will forever be carried with them. A little piece of our beauty that goes far beyond our days.

What a Spectacular Cycle
All things work together to carry each of us through this cycle. No matter what challenges we may face…we have a season to bloom. We can manage that season with our choices, efforts, actions, and attitude…that is spectacular.
