Sometimes there is a little snow on the hillside

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of changes to life as we once knew it. One of the first problems people had was of quarantine, self isolation, avoiding crowds, and social distancing. That meant that many people were alone much of the time and unable to go out to their normal activities. Many people worked from home or lost jobs.

Going to the store for the necessities was almost the only outlet for people who could not get out for recreation and leisure. Some people stayed at home and ordered groceries to be delivered to their homes.

Fortunate are the people who can look out their own window or go out on their back deck to see some of the beauty of nature while still maintaining social distancing. I enjoy being outdoors to golf, but I can also appreciate nature right from my home.

My wife and I enjoy simply looking at the view from our house. We are among the lucky ones who have the beauty of nature close by. When the University of Utah has home football games, it is fun to see the lights from the stadium.

The evening sunsets are beautiful as are the sunrises. Most people in all areas are able to enjoy the many aspects of Mother Nature’s glory.

Life has been difficult during the pandemic which has lasted for a year now. Hopefully, the vaccine will help to alleviate the problems of COVID so that life can get back to normal soon. In the meantime, there is still much to enjoy about living in this beautiful world.
