The soles of her feet scuffed the pavement as she dragged her feet a few more yards to get to her Air BNB. The rhythm of her heels dragging on the sidewalk would slow down as exhaustion overwhelmed the arches of her feet. It would sound like a loud beating drum repeating in the heart of her ears that played to the sound of her heart's fatigue.
