The Right-Wing Accused President Obama of Many Things
But President Trump actually put them in action
There was a bit of excitement about “Jade Helm.” From July 15, 2015, to September 15th, the United States Military — not China or Russia mind you, but our own GIs - were scheduled to perform exercises in various state locations to prepare them for battle.
But Obama was president — so conspirators do what they do, and they cooked up numerous conspiracies. The military couldn’t be carrying out an exercise, they said. No! It was to be a military takeover of Texas. They were going to overrun a state with 29 million people (many with guns, mind you) — with 1200 soldiers.
They were “mainly Army Green Berets, but also a small group of Navy SEALS and Air Force special operations troops as well as conventional Army infantry.”
These nutty conspirators created a group called “Counter Jade Helm” and actually received permission to monitor the exercise. As if…
The Texas governor, Gregg Abbott, was also stricken with the conspiracy bug. He was so concerned he ordered the Texas State Guard to also monitor the situation. He wanted to make sure that the constitutional rights and civil liberties of Texans were not infringed during this federal military training exercise.
“I have no idea what he’s thinking,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said.
Even the infamous Alex Jones had to jump in. He said on his radio program that:
“This is an invasion … in preparation for the financial collapse and maybe even Obama not leaving office.”
Public Policy Polling publicized the fact that a whole 32% of Republican voters believed this.
There was more;
An asteroid was going to hit the earth, and the Jade Helm exercise was really an excuse to implement martial law!
This was a dry run; eventually, somehow, people would end up in concentration camps! Or abandoned Walmarts!
China is going to disarm us and take over the nation! (The word “Jade” in Jade Helm is a tip-off.)
Russia has already infiltrated us and will help prepare for a Civil War. They will arm the c̶o̶n̶f̶e̶d̶e̶r̶a̶t̶e̶s rebels.
And the saddest:
Blue Bell refrigerated trucks will transport dead bodies as a part of Jade Helm.
None of this was true.
None of it happened.
It was Obama hysteria…
Here is the invasion that the Republicans were waiting for.
President Trump sent troops to Portland, Oregon recently. Unidentified men pulled people off of the streets, placed them in anonymous vans, and drove them away. They were federal agents untrained in riot and mass crowd control. He’s in the process of sending this “fake” military force to Seattle and Chicago. The main requirement for the president seems to be that the cities have to be run by Democrats.
“The Trump administration is calling the presence of federal agents in Portland ‘Operation Diligent Valor,’ treating it like the invasion of a foreign country.”
Now the plan is to send federal agents to Seattle and Chicago.
I thought President Obama was going to invade cities! Nope.
We’ve got Trump for that.
The future is here.
Obama was going to put people into concentration camps.
It happened. Only again, it’s the wrong administration. And some would say the wrong people. But they’re still human beings.
Some say that these immigrants deserve to be placed in camps-and they shouldn’t have come here in the first place. They ignore the fact that they are here in America because someone made the same choice in their family generations ago.
And no, many of their ancestors did not come here “legally.” Once you go deep into their stories, you find that they took all kinds of methods to get here. They worked the citizenship angle out later, some even receiving clemency by our government - depending of course, on where they came from…
The undocumented Irish, for example, had a champion in Senator Edward Kennedy:
“I look across this historic gathering and I see the future of America,” he said at an immigration rally in Washington on April 10, 2006.
He did everything he could to increase legal immigration (and give clemency to illegal immigrants)…not just for the Irish, but for all. He said if the current policies were in place when his parents were alive, they wouldn’t have been able to come to America. So he had a heart for people who wanted to come here. But he wasn’t always successful.
And when Kennedy died in 2009, they lost their helper.
We still have a community of undocumented, illegal Irish people today. President Trump is aware of them, and according to The Irish Times, operations are being undertaken to find them and deport them.
“Raids on undocumented immigrants living in the United States will begin on Sunday, President Donald Trump has confirmed, prompting widespread fear among immigrant groups, including undocumented Irish living in the US.” July 19, 2019.
And at the southern border? He opened up camps for adults and children!!!
President Trump built the conservative's favorite nightmare: concentration camps. It’s the only thing he truly seems to be good at…if you call aluminium blankets successful.
But Obama…
Obama was going to install death panels.
The panels were going to be part of Obamacare, which has turned out to be the lifeline of many people in this country. They were, in the popular paranoid imagination, going to be built up of Democrats who would decide if Americans were going to live or die.
In this coronavirus period, due to neglect and the inability of our President to believe in science and reality; we have involuntary death panels.
Again, wrong administration…
Once the ICU beds and ventilators become scarce, decisions have to be made. Who has the ability to have a long life? Who may not? Who has underlying conditions? Those are the ones who are sent home to die.
Now. That’s a death panel. Who’s the president?

But Trump is actually putting them in action. It’s as if we foresaw the future, only we were in the wrong decade. There was so much rage. When Obama was president, our “patriots” ran around with AR-15’s determined to stop injustice — to make sure that people didn’t tread on us.
They were riled up to FIGHT in 2015. They said Obama was going to bankrupt the country! But we owe trillions more now than we ever did (before the coronavirus). And guess what? That stinking old Tea Party is AWOL right now…
We’re putting people in cages, watching anonymous armies rush into our cities, watching bodies go into refrigerated trucks (forgive us, Blue Bell — we know it ain’t you!) due to the coronavirus, sadly observing our president suck up to Putin (Russia!) and mildly watching as Americans are chosen to go home to die. Our pride has gone over a cliff.
Where did the Tea Party go when you need them? It’s like they’ve been submerged under a rock. Was it true?
Was it true that their real problem was they hated having a Black man as President of the United States? Their ghostly behavior after 2016 has confirmed it. They and their AR-15s drifted under their work trucks never to be seen again.
It’s only been 3 1/2 years since Trump took office, but it feels like ten. Is this real? And all I want to do is wake up from this drama-filled nightmare…
Just recently Trump announced that he’d like to move the election out. Obama was actually accused of possibly trying to stay on in the White House after his eight-year term…just like a dictator. Or a king. But no. He did not. But his successor?
“Trump defends tweet about moving election by casting doubt on results.”
We’ve been around two centuries, but our constitutional system relies on the peaceful transfer of power from the president to the incoming president. But we’ve not had one refuse to get out when their term is over. We’ve not had one even imply that it was possible. Until now.
Is that where President Trump is going?
In November 2020, the United States of America will find out.
