Reboot Humanity 2020.01

In order to get to the 5th dimension we need to reinvent the 3rd dimension.

Alan Lew wrote a few months ago:

The first sentence is sadly true; but many, many people can conceptualize innovations. Stand up and be heard!

How many sports fans out there yell at the television only to hear from the other room, “they can’t hear you, you do know that?”

That yeller has been me, but this year my angst at all the bad or missed calls have been screamed into the twitterverse and the policy makers are not listening. I do not know what’s going on in Europe, but my sense is they see the need for new ideas. In America, we’re too damn arrogant and impatient and the political system favors the unimaginative.

For years I would catch Joel Osteen’s opening joke — they are always funny — despite as purient as my human side can be, I think clean humor is the funniest as it has to be clever (shout out to Jim Gaffigan) — and then once he moved on to Bible beating, I beat it in the other direction. This past May, his broadcast caught my attention and I watched the whole inspirational sermon.

I wish everyone else had too.

Re unemployment, then reported to be 23M:

Nope. I tried again.

and again and again ad nauseum.

Stimulus:

I read not too long ago that many European countries used this approach.

Business Failures:

This should still happen and should be described as Federally Funded Pandemic Business Relief Insurance — it would be a hit on Main Street and Wall Street, where a fortune in fees could be earned.

Politics:

I hereby make an open call across the MediumVerse to my fellow innovative thinkers to start a publication that is a meeting place / open forum for ideas across all disciplines. In order to get to the 5th Dimension we need to reinvent the 3rd Dimension.

The one innovation are the mRNA vaccines.
