The Reason Why Hard-work doesn't Guarantee Success

Hard work is a tool, not an option

I once took a test in Biochemistry and failed the test. I had three months to prepare for the makeup test. Just like what everyone else will do, I gave more attention to serious studies and review. By the time I took the makeup test, I still failed.

This trend would have continue until I figured the way out.

I believe in hard-working but it's not a guarantee for success.

No matter, how fast you travel on the wrong path, you won’t reach your destination.

Amplified Bible Ecclesiastes 10:15 The labour of a fool so wearies him [because he is ignorant] that he does not even know how to go to a city.

Failure will be a trend until you understand the mechanisms of failure:

By default, humans will unconsciously fail repeatedly. It, therefore, takes deliberate effort to succeed.

Your own experience of failure and the reason for your failed attempt is not globally relevant.

The reason why I failed that same test twice, was that I didn't bother to know how the exam should be written, rather I focused on what should be written. As a result, my outcome was the same despite the effort committed.

Failure has one mechanism, that is to ride on our ignorance.

The evil that is in the world almost always comes of ignorance, and good intentions may do as much harm as malevolence if they lack understanding. Albert Camus

Not all approaches demand hard work. Rather use hard work as a harmer to drive your skill.

The wiser you get, the less you take yourself seriously, the more work looks like play. Maxime Lagacé

Good News Translation Proverbs 4:7 Getting wisdom is the most important thing you can do. Whatever else you get, get insight.

Hard work should be a tool in the hand of the wise. It's good that you work hard. However, knowing what exactly to do will add value to your efforts.
