Politics is a major topic of the day

Since I have been involved with several committees working to elect Joe Biden as the next President of the United States, I have been trying to write some favorable stories on Medium in support of Biden. Also included are negative comments (mostly quotes from Republicans) about Trump since we are hoping he will not get a second term. We are trying to help get Biden into The White House.

Unfortunately, I have not had a whole lot of views or reads for my stories. None have gone viral so I am not sure that there has been much value to them as far as the campaign is concerned. However, those who have read my stories have been mostly kind. Most people who responded agreed with my views.

The people who have been reading anything I have written about the election may have mostly similar views to my own. There have been kind and encouraging responses which agreed with what I had to say. Let’s hope the election goes our way.

I haven’t been successful in earning much money on Medium yet, but it has been an interesting experience so far. The Medium staff, publications, and editors are to be thanked for giving us the opportunity to be able to share our ideas on this platform.

It has been enjoyable reading your work on Medium if you are a writer — except for one person. When I first joined Medium several months ago, I came across a couple of her stories. She writes about a subject which is of interest to me, but the tone of her stories and her attitude were not to my liking. I have made it a point not to read her stories any longer. Sometimes I see a title of a story which looks interesting to me, but then I see that she is the writer of the story. So I move on without reading her work. She is the only one I have found on Medium whose stories I will not read.

So far I have not had hateful and negative comments, which might be expected from Trump supporters. I supppose they are not reading my stories. That is probably a good thing. You can’t change their minds, but you can hope to influence possibly some people who had not decided.

I am still quite new to Medium as are thousands of other people. It has been an enjoyable ride. Thanks to Everyone involved.
