The author muses on the fleeting moments of love, the pain of heartbreak, and the importance of cherishing the love that is present in one's life. Ultimately, the poem encourages readers to discard false hopes and to recognize the significance of loving oneself, suggesting that self-love is the foundation for all other forms of love.

It’s okay to be nobody’s darling A friend will do just fine And to love the one you’re with As we walk down the line.

The quest for love is continuous However, what does it mean Spend time with the one you love Or your self-esteem.

There is so much pleasure To be completely free And to love anybody And just let it be.

In and out of love trysts How many broken hearts Time to pay some attention Some love finishes before it starts.

love a day out at play Your baby girl in your arms That’s what love is all about Succumb to all her charms

It’s wrong to want somebody Just be your very own The one we need is our breed Ourselves the one alone.

So, throw false hopes out the window The only one for you to love Is standing there in your skin With blessings from above.
