The “Queen of Sandhelm” Preps to Drop 9,999 Generative NFT Keys to Her New Online Gaming Realm
A multiplayer roleplaying experience exclusively for The Sandbox Game.
My prediction about reader response to this article is that there will be two possible reactions: (1) “AWESOME!!!!,” or (2) “Wait … what’s The Sandbox?” Both are legitimate here, as not everyone knows about The Sandbox just yet. But it’s already gigantic, with major names in entertainment, gaming, NFTs, and crypto already aligning themselves with this go-to online metaverse. Heck, even Snoop Dogg has a mansion there!
As you can see, everything in The Sandbox is pixelated — or, to be more precise, voxelated, as it’s all built from 3D units known as voxels. Here’s an intro reel about The Sandbox to give you a better idea of what it looks like inside:
And so that brings us to Sandhelm, a sprawling estate (a whole world, really) within The Sandbox. Ready for a preview?! Here you go:
Sandhelm promises to be quite the gaming experience, proudly touted as a roleplaying world built by and for roleplayers. It’s going to be amazing on all fronts — so much that it’ll take quite some time just exploring their web site (much less the game itself) to fully take in the game, the roadmap, the lore, and the whole vibe.
And, unlike many NFT drops for which a playable game is merely on the roadmap as a future, hopeful, development, Sandhelm is fully under development already and slated for launch this winter. The Sandbox land is secured, the adventure’s lore well formed, the game’s infrastructure already built, and so much more!

What’s also really cool is that the game’s founder and visionary, Holly Voxels, is no newcomer to The Sandbox or to gaming. She’s an OG Sandbox creator, featured by The Sandbox itself back in June for her 🔥 previous SOLD OUT NFT drop 🔥 within The Sandbox Marketplace. (I mean, not many people on Earth had done an NFT drop by June 2021! That’s impressive!). If you’re interested in playing the Sandhelm game — which, why would anyone not be?! — you’re going to need access to it, and the NFT drop coming on 11–15–21 (see https://sandhelm.io/) is your ticket into this world.
Each NFT contains a base character (e.g., rogue, monk, barbarian, etc.), and 15 inventory items selected randomly (based on a rarity table) from 171 total traits. Because of the 15 traits, the math gets pretty crazy:
Backgrounds (6) x Wrists (10) x Weapons (10) x Wealth (10) x Staffs (10) x Shoulders (10) x Potions (10) x Legs (10) x Necks (10) x Heads (10) x Hands (10) x Feet (10) x Chests (10) x Bows (10) x Backpacks (25) x Backs (10) == 1.5e+16 , or 15 quadrillion combinations!
(And, really, it’s even higher than that given the 6 super-rare character sheets that will be incorporated into the set.)
Whether you’ll be a rogue, barbarian, monk, or other character is up to the luck of the pull when you mint (though technically you could mint up to 12 per wallet, if desired). According to the web site, NFT wallet holders will have their playable Sandbox characters airdropped to them when the Sandbox Game and Sandhelm go live. So, this is all absolutely amazing and promises endless entertainment in that vast metaverse! Get there Monday, 11–15!
