The Pursuit Of Happiness

A poem about creating a better life.

Everyone wants to be happy, But almost none of us know how, So every day, we try to think, About how we can live a better life right now.

We chase a monthly paycheck, We go to work each day, We sacrifice the present moment, In the hope that we’ll be happy someday.

It becomes an endless cycle, It’s a better life that we pursue, So we can provide for our families, And everything else we need to do.

But happiness is not external, It comes from deep inside, So look within your heart and mind, And a better life you shall find.
